General Description: Niagara County Community College is seeking a full time, ten month, tenure track Radiologic Technology Instructor. This position is located within the Nursing and Allied Health division of the college. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching 18 lecture/lab/clinical contact hours per semester. In addition will also be responsible for student advisement, participation in departmental and college activities and coordination of the clinical instruction for all students. Assignments may be during day, evening, or weekend hours.
Classes are held at NCCC's main campus located in Sanborn, NY
The start date of this position will be late August for the beginning of the Fall 2020 Semester.
Typical Work ActivitiesEssential Functions:
• Teach students in lecture, lab and clinical courses
• Advise students
• Coordinate clinical instruction
• Actively participate on committees, as needed, representing the Nursing & Allied Health division
• Attend and participate in division meetings
Essential Functions: Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to advise students for classes, transfer options and career advice in the field. Ability to be an active member in the division and serve on committees representing the division. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in a Master's degree program; ARRT Registered and New York State Licensed in Radiologic Technology; two (2) years recent (within five (5) years) clinical experience in Radiologic Technology; one (1) year teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program.
Desirable Qualifications: Master's Degree; community college teaching experience; teaching in a technology enhanced classroom; remote learning teaching.
License(s)/Certifications: ARRT Registered and New York State Radiologic Technology License.
